Queering Power is a one-day event focused exclusively on the discussion of queer D/s and M/s power dynamics. Jacqueline and Andrea have assembled a fine selection of carefully curated presenters and facilitators in the hopes of drawing together a yummy bunch of pervy queers (ALL genders welcome) for a day of deep reflection, community-building and fundraising for Harvest 2013! Here it is, quick and dirty:
Where: Ottawa, chez Pink Triangle Services (PTS) at 331 Cooper St. Suite 200 (view map)
When: Saturday, June 8, 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
How Much: Suggested donation is $40. Less is fine if you’re broke. More is great if you can spare it! All proceeds will go to supporting this year’s Unholy Harvest.
Who: Anyone who is comfortable with the label queer is invited to join us! for this gathering of D/s and M/s-oriented Harvester sorts, plus some cool queer cis guys of the same bent!
What: We’ll be putting up a detailed schedule soon, but here’s the gist: we’ll offer a series of workshops throughout the day. Some will bring the group together, some timeslots offer a choice between a dominant-oriented workshop and a submissive-oriented workshop.
Registration: Click here to register. Spaces are very limited so don’t wait.
The workshop space is on the second floor of a commercial building off a major street. The building has no steps, but there is a slight incline up to the door. There is a single elevator. The entrances to the workshop space are wide and there are no steps or ledges. The area has a large open space and a smaller classroom (capacity is 35) off the large space. There is a kitchen in the main space which has no impediments to get in, but the counters are not wheelchair height and the sink would not be accessible unless you were standing up.
The bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. There are no ledges or steps to access the bathrooms, but the entrance is narrow and twists. If you would like exact measurements, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will happily provide them. The stalls are small and there are only standing-level sinks.
As the space does not belong to us, we do not have control over the use of scented cleaning products. Some of the other attendees may use scent, though we always ask that attendees refrain on the day of the conference.
For further information about our accessibility policies, please see our accessibility page.
We can’t wait to see you!
Your friendly coordinatrixes,
Jacqueline St-Urbain and Andrea Zanin
We are very grateful to the folks of PTS Ottawa, who are generously donating their space in support of the fundraising aspect of this event.
